Calls that just start.

Make a link, send it, talk. The people you send it to don't need an account, an app, or anything but a browser.

Start a call

Guests can join with a code. Sign in to start calls and keep your name.

How a call goes

1

Start or join

Start a call and you get a code like abc-def-ghi. Send it, or paste one you were sent.

2

Check yourself first

A green room shows your camera and a live microphone meter before anyone else sees or hears you. Wrong device? Switch it there.

3

Talk

Whoever is speaking gets a ring. A shared screen takes the big tile. Mute is M, camera is V, share is S.

Nothing to install

Safari on an iPhone, Chrome on Android, anything on a laptop. Guests join by opening a link.

Peer to peer

Video and audio go straight between browsers where the network allows. The server only introduces you.

Honest about limits

Comfortable up to about six people. It is not a webinar tool, and it does not pretend to be.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Anyone with a link or a code can join as a guest. An account lets you start calls and keeps your name and picture.

Is it really free?

Yes. Meet has no paid tier and no time limit.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes — Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android, no app to install.

How many people can join?

It is peer-to-peer, so it is comfortable up to about six. Beyond that your upload bandwidth becomes the limit.

Can I share my screen?

Yes, from a laptop. The shared screen takes the big tile for everyone on the call.
